Northern Essex Community College is the lead agency for the local CVTE Linkage Consortium  composed of Greater Lawrence Technical School, Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School, Methuen High School, and Shawsheen Valley Technical High School. Through this consortium the college and high schools engage in cooperative ventures that benefit CVTE Linkage students.  For example, articulation agreements are entered into through active collaboration between the faculty of NECC and the instructors in the high schools. These agreements provide students the opportunity to earn college credit while still enrolled in high school.  These credits are posted to the student transcript upon admission to NECC at no charge. Qualified students must have graduated from high school as a CVTE Linkage student in an articulated program pathway, or have graduated from an articulated secondary or postsecondary program. CVTE Linkage and other qualified students must provide evidence of their eligibility upon admission to the college for proper placement within their program and posting of earned transfer credit.

CVTE Linkage Consortium  offers:

bulletEducator Workshops and Seminars
bulletStudent College and Career Events
bulletCounseling services for students transitioning between high school and college or training
bulletCareer Planning
